Emirati family counselor discusses the Languages of Love for children
Arabic families are being invited to attend a parenting workshop at Fairytales play centre on Wednesday 27th April 10:30am – 12:00pm. The session, the second in the series brought to parents by Zoom In Photography, will be led by Emirati family counselor, Aisha Al Mutwa, and will discuss the languages of love and how these relate to children and parents.
As with adults, children express and receive love through one of five different languages, and this may be different to the language of their parents. Knowing the child’s language, whether physical touch, words of affirmation, quality time, gifts or acts of service, can help parents understand and strengthen the relationship with their children. This ensures parents can effectively convey their respect, affection and commitment, and ultimately have a positive impact on the child’s emotions and behaviour.
As the UAE’s only specialized on-site child and family photography company, Zoom In Photography is looking to offer parents more than memories through its social responsibility programme of parenting workshops for Arabic families in Dubai. As a social entrepreneur, mother, trained CTI co-active coach and social policy expert, Zoom In’s co-founder, Anisa Al Sharif, has a particular interest in family issues, child development and education, and has been instrumental in developing the programme, as well as collating educational resources in Arabic, and connecting clients to beneficial family resources.
The session will be run in Arabic and is open to all. Attendance can be registered by emailing info@zoominphotography.com or calling 800 966646.
